Shawn Schuster is the product of hippie parents and was raised eating homegrown food from the backyard. As most children do, Shawn thought he knew better, leading most of his life oblivious to the environment and the impact he had upon it.That is until a few years ago when he realized that his parents were always right (don't we always end up realizing that eventually?). After working almost ten years in the wasteful paper printing industry, Shawn quit his job to become a freelance writer on the issues he finds most interesting, in a meager attempt to make a difference. He now strives to grow more self-sufficient by the day and eventually live a completely off-grid lifestyle.
In addition to Green Daily, Shawn writes for Massively.com, hosts and produces several podcasts and is working on his first fiction novel.
