Where the Forest Meets the Sea

This is a great book, but you might want to save it for your older kids. It deals with some pretty heavy concepts, both emotionally and intellectually: namely, rainforest destruction and the onset of tourism in previously uninhabited areas (the book takes place in the forests of Australia). The concepts are important for kids to learn, but maybe not until they're a little older.
