Nobody drives the speed limit

Some studies suggest that, as both cars and roads become more safe, drivers are increasingly willing to drive above the posted speed limit -- which, at the very least, increases CO2 emissions and reduces fuel efficiency, and, in worst case scenarios, causes more accidents.
