Fluorescent light bulbs
These bulbs were first constructed by French physicist A. E. Becquerel. In a fluorescent bulb, electricity passes through mercury which vaporizes and then is absorbed by a fluorescent powder, thus giving off light. Fluorescent light bulbs are more efficient than their counterpart incandescent bulbs and can save you $30 over the bulb's lifetime. A fluorescent lamp runs cooler and lasts 10 to 20 times longer. You can find all kinds of fluorescent light bulbs on the AOL Shopping site.
