Ecovillage
An environmentally sustainable community. Sizes range widely, from 50 to 2,000 people. The village participants are often bound by similar life philosophies: they hope to reduce waste, live in a sustainable manner, leave behind the trappings of a consumerist lifestyle, revive cottage industries and protect the environment.
