Refusing to endorse either Clinton or Obama, Gore has positioned himself as a neutral party in the Democratic race -- supposedly so he might broker a peaceful resolution between the two current front runners. However, it also just happens to leave the door open for Gore to choose either Clinton or Obama as his running mate.
