1. He's the compromise candidate

In the hotly contested race to be the Democratic presidential candidate, some are suggesting the party may be not be able to agree on either Obama or Clinton. Subsequently, it's possible that a compromise candidate will be chosen -- and given Gore's popularity of late, it wouldn't be surprising if he wound up leading the Democratic ticket.
