Adorable Baby Gorilla Gets a Name: Hasani

This post is at least a week late, and I have to admit, I'm writing it as an excuse to post the ridiculously cute photos of Hasani I just found on Getty Images.
Here's the story. A baby gorilla was born at the San Francisco Zoo back in December. His mother rejected him, so the zoo keepers have been raising him by hand, and he's doing great.
They held a contest to name him, and received over 5,000 entries from all over the world. They narrowed it down to five. Then, using an elaborate painted cantaloupe methodology, had his father, Oscar Jonesy, pick the final winner.
Oscar Jonesy picked the green one, which represented the name Hasani, which means "handsome one" in Swahili. You can watch a video of the name picking ceremony, or just ooh and ahh over the gallery of Hasani pix.
