Alanis Morrisette Wants You to Turn off

Earth Hour
is coming up, and as Kyle told us, many famous names are supporting the campaign to get everyone to turn off their gadgets for an hour on Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm, local time.

Ecorazzi brought two celebrity Earth Hour videos to our attention, one starring Janeane Garofalo, and the other with Alanis Morissette.

Both videos play on the concept of a "turn off" -- Alanis is doing bad things with toe nails on an airplane, and Janeane does some things with (please, let it be) faux armpit hair.

I'm glad to see the fun ads. The whole "climate change" movement can get overly dirge-ish. The humor helps, especially if it gets more people to join in and turn off everything for the hour.

Already more than one billion people have pledged to participate. To add your name, visit the Earth Hour site and sign up!
