I think this article is way over reacting. I dont see anything raunchy about the ad. The items they use couldnt cost more then 25 dollars - a very economical and cost effective commercial. And i personally hav been to too many homes where the toliet hardly flushes at all. This to me is an excellent ad and i think you the reporter are a little persnikity.

To be considered "Ultra-Low Flow" a toilet has to use 1.6 gpf. There is a good reason why the used toilet market is booming. The ULFT's don't "swallow" as well as the old 4-7 gpf toilets. The intent of this demo was to show how this ULFT can compete with the older thrones. So, as a promoter of green living, would you rather use the 'world's least eco-friendly toilet' or a pot that uses 2-4X the same amount of water. Ideally, this toilet would offer a dual flush system for #1's and #2's. I've seen the live demo of this thing, and it is amazing. If you are that worried about it the live demo recycles the water to flush golf balls.

I have problems with the commercial besides what it's going to inspire people to flush.

First of all, throw some toilet paper in with the rest of the stuff, then flush it. The clogs happen because toilet paper is moldable but doesn't always break down in the water flow. Sure golf balls will flush, how exactly are they supposed to get stuck?

Second of all, sure the toilet can chow it down, but how about the pipes?

I agree with the above posters though. I'm sure people will use less water testing their new toilets than they would sticking with a higher capacity toilet.
