Eco-conscious or Eco-friendly?
The two terms are used almost interchangeably, but do they really have different meanings? Eco-conscious has been officially defined in the Webster's dictionary as "marked by or showing concern for the environment," while the term eco-friendly is used all over the place but has no official definition. The government doesn't regulate either term so they're getting slapped onto everything as a marketing ploy to sell more products.
I think both terms are used in so many different ways it doesn't really matter, but do you think that as time goes by they will develop separate meanings? And since there's no official answer here tell us, what do the terms 'eco-conscious' and 'eco-friendly' mean to you?
