Make homemade Baby Food For a Non-Picky Eater

baby foodEveryone knows a young child who subsists on chicken nuggets, tater tots and ketchup or some other minimal combination of foods because "they just won't eat anything else." The best way to avoid that is to introduce children, as infants, to a wide variety of foods.

There are some you have to stay away from because of choking or allergy issues of course, but what about vegetables? A quick trip through the baby food aisle and you will find a whole lot of the same options from every brand. Some may be organic, others are not. Some may have sugar added, preservatives or extra starch and some may be just fruit or vegetable puree.

If you make your baby food at home, you have complete control over what goes into it, and you can introduce your child to a wider variety of foods. Trying all those foods at such a young age will help your child be much less of a picky eater as they get older.

The best part? All you have to do is steam the fruit or vegetable, puree it, and then store it in the freezer. Then, your baby can be eating the same delicious, organic fruits and veggies that you are and you don't have to worry about packaging waste or preservatives or anything else.
