Original Beans Inc: You Buy Chocolate, They Plant Trees

What better way to do your part for the planet than eat a pricey bar of chocolate? I'm not kidding when I say "pricey," either, as Original Beans Inc., a chocolate company in San Francisco, is hoping you'll be willing to spend a steep $13 per 3.5oz bar for their chocolate. So what do you get for dishing out that kind of dough? Well besides a decadent chocolately experience (I can only imagine) the company also promises to plant a tree in the region where the cocoa beans were farmed (either Bolivia, Ecuador, or the Congo) and you can trace your chocolate beans to their birthplace on the company's website using the lot number printed on every wrapper.
Maybe not an every day indulgence, but every now and then it certainly won't hurt.
