This or That: Shower or Tub Bath?
They're few and far between, but if you're of the 'bathe in a bathtub' variety, as opposed to showering, then you might be disappointed to hear that you're probably not being very green. I was surprised, actually, to read that in most cases a 10 minute shower uses less water than it takes to fill a tub. The average 5-10 minute shower uses between 10 and 50 gallons of water, while the average tub takes 70 gallons. So will this have an impact on how you bathe every day? Of course there are things you can do to minimize those numbers, like showering or bubbling up in the tub with a partner...
