Neil Young to Release Concept Album About Eco-Cars - Fork in the Road

Neil Young rocking out in AucklandI was starting to wonder when Neil Young would release a electric car manifesto in the form of an ill-conceived album filled with dull, preachy tunes. Well, apparently it's in the works. As much time as Neil's been spending under the hood of his classic LincVolt EV, he's apparently decided to write and record a "concept album about eco-friendly cars." Please God, let it be better than that horrible Corey Feldman album.

According to Pitchfork, the album will be titled Fork in the Road (a pretty decent title, no?), and features such instant classics as Fuel Line, Cough up the bucks, Hit the Road, and Get Around. I know some of you will want to stick up for old Neil or any other artist who makes an effort to raise awareness for a good cause like climate change. Trust me, I'd like to be able to do the same -- I really would. I love Neil Young. But would you feel the same way if this were an album about sound banking practices? Sometimes, when it's bad ... it's just bad.

Watch a video of the title track after the break.
