Energizer Shows Off a Pocket Sized Solar Charger
As you may have noticed, I'm frequently a sucker for green gadgets. And with a new and improved, greener CES going on this week, there's more than enough exciting gadget news to go around. Luckily, Energizer has joined the fight to make gadget fiends a more eco-friendly bunch. They're debuting a new, very portable solar charger at CES that will allow users to recharge their batteries and devices wherever they go -- provided that it's daytime. This pocket sized charger helps take solar charging a step further by not only powering iPod and phones, but providing renewable power for your AA or AAA batteries. Even if you've gone through the effort to buy only rechargeable batteries, it's still hard (but not impossible) to get out of using a wall charger. Starting this summer, the Energizer Solar Battery Charger will elimnate that hassle. Just insert your dead rechargable cells and set the weatherproof charger in a sunny spot.
The only downside is that its going to cost about $49.99, which is actually pretty cheap compared to other solar chargers.
