Glass Reusable Bottles Posing as Disposables
Just saw these in the new Crate & Barrel catalog that hit my mailbox yesterday (note to self, get off of Crate & Barrel's mailing list).See to the right glass water bottles for use on the go. They are pure glass with silicone stoppers. I have to say they are pretty cool looking. However, you would definitely want to be careful with them as you are transporting them, as they are not going to be able to take the real rough-and-tough stress that a disposable plastic or even many reusable bottles can take.
The one thing I am not quite sure about is the fact that they are made to "mimic plastic disposables." Now, I get it that there is probably an ergonomically-friendly design for water bottles, which allows for easy handling, but I'm not sure that mimicking the look of a plastic disposable is necessarily a look that is attractive. Although I did think this "I am not a paper cup" had a sense of humor.
The bottles are available from Crate & Barrel for $7.95 to $15.95 and require hand washing.

Plastic water bottles weren't designed for ergonomics, the ribbed ones were designed for easy crushing. Take any of the ribbed ones with the cap off, using both hands, crush it between your palms and put the cap back on.

Good point. Now it makes even less sense why they would design them to mimic plastic disposables.
