Even if you're not a big bubble bath fan, you probably have heard of Lush, the eco-friendly cosmetic and soap company. Last August the employees in 24 stores in the US worked in the nude to demonstrate the company's philosophy about unnecessary packaging.

Started in 1995 by Brit Mark Constantine and his wife, Mo, the company now has over 600 stores in 44 countries, and Constantine is a multi-millionaire. He's also passionate about green causes. Sometimes the combination of global CEO and fervent environmentalist are difficult to reconcile.

For example, he doesn't own a car, and bikes to work every day. But he also has to fly all over the world, all the time, to oversee his business.

Rather than go the boring route of carbon offsets, Constantine funds anti-aviation activists Plane Stupid, the group that staged a sit in on the runway at Stansted Airport in London. He also paid for their legal fees following that stunt.

He also makes sure his company lives by his green rules, with no animal testing and of course, the packaging-free distribution which cuts down on both the carbon footprint and manufacturing costs.
