Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Behnd the Wheel in His New Tesla
At Green Daily, we've been following the excruciatingly slow release of the Tesla Roadster for a long time now -- and lately it's been a bumpy ride. That's why I'm happy to be able to report that Tesla has reached another milestone in the quest to establish their all-electric roadster: delivering the car to a major Hollywood celebrity. Leonardo DiCaprio has traded in his old Prius and picked up a new carbon-conscious electric speedster. At $109K, the Roadster might not be a practical option for most green drivers, but I'm sure Leo had no trouble shelling out the cash for it. And it fits his eco-celebrity lifestyle to a "t" -- since it's both stylish and green. According to the Huffington Post, the Roadster "goes 244 miles on one charge and burns no oil." We should all be so lucky, who wouldn't want one of these babies? Anyway, the DiCaprio Roadster is a decent mid-sized victory for a car company that could use a boost, in a car economy that could use a miracle.
