Beverly Hills Lipo Doc Uses Human Fat for Fuel - LipoDiesel?
Sure, back when gas prices were hitting their high note, we all fantasized about converting our cars to run on used cooking grease or something similar -- at least I did. There were those practical considerations though, like: gosh, wouldn't it be disgusting to have to mess with all of that grease? Well, that's nothing when you compare it to the Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon who actually poured his patients' liposuctioned fat into his tank to save some gas money.Yes, it's true. Apparently Dr. Craig Bittner actually used human fat in his Ford SUV and his girlfriend's Lincoln Navigator for a while. According to our friends at WalletPop, animal fat -- humans included -- can power a diesel engine just about as well as other plant-based oils like soybean or Willie diesel. So there might actually be a use for all of our fat asses after all. Can you imagine working in this guy's office? 'Dr. Bittner, your 4 o'clock quarter tank is waiting in exam room 4.'
Sure, it's definitely recycling and may help reduce our dependence on foreign oil in some insignificant way. The question is: is it green? or Soylent Green?
