"Hollywood Goes Green' Summit
Today wraps up a two day "Hollywood Goes Green" conference in Los Angeles addressing environmental issues in entertainment and media. The Hilton Universal has been packed with conference goers as well as 40 speakers and 35 exhibitors and sponsors for this second annual event.Topics of discussion include how the entertainment industry can reduce their carbon footprint, make the most of energy efficient vehicles and secure funding for environmentally themed films. Kyle has a great post on what Hollywood accomplished in 2007. Let's hope that 2008 is even better.
Ironically enough, one of the sponsors for the event is General Motors who is thinking about cutting back on their funding for alternative cars due to the economic slump. In addition, they have their own "water sponsor." Must be the Los Angeles County water system doesn't service the Hilton.
