Organic Chickens are fed Melamine
The melamine scare seems to be working its way into another food group and just because you eat only organic food does not make you safe. Organic Chicken farmers in France have discovered that the soy feed eaten by their flocks has been tainted with melamine. 300 tons of soy meal imported from China tested 50 times higher than the maximum limit of acceptable melamine. Because of this, it is plausible to think that organic meat is contaminated with melamine as well and anyone and anything along the food chain. It is not unthinkable after this finding and the findings of melamine contaminated pet food, that much of the animal feed out of China is laced with plastic.
Just because the melamine tainted feed has only been discovered in France does not make any other countries with imported feed safe. It has not been figured yet just how many United States, Canadian, United Kingdom or Australian farms use the inexpensive meal.

HAHAHA!! I'm loving this. Turns out our whole world is made up of melamine. Next thing you know hunters will start finding it in the deer that they shoot down! No end in sight.

Argh!!! I was taking comfort in the fact that I just recently read that it was less likely that organic animal products (meat, milk etc) would be contaminated with melamine.
