Gorilla in the Greenhouse for Kids

Green Gorilla
If you are raising little greenies at your house you might want to watch the pilot episode of Gorilla in the Greenhouse with them.

I will admit I found the show a bit annoying at first (I'm not exactly the target audience) but overall, it was interesting, entertaining and had a good message kids can understand. In the pilot episode, the world is being taken over by Hufflebots, which are plastic bags filled with helium. After one use you just let them float away. The Green Gorilla team finds out where "away" really is and works to change things.

There are a few activities for kids on the page as well as a few articles for the grown-ups on green living topics. And if your kids really get into it, you can even download MP3s of some of the songs from the episode. You can also buy a Green Gorilla canvas bag or a DVD of the first episode for use in classrooms and other places. Though at $10 for the canvas bag and $18 for the DVD I think I'll stick with the web version for the moment.
