In the on-going fight against illegal whale hunting, one man stands out as the most prominent activist for the cause: Captain Paul Watson. Marine Wildlife Conservationist, Environmentalist, Greenpeace co-founder, Author and Writer, Watson and his non-profit Sea Shepherd Conservation Society have actively been fighting the illegal practices of whale hunting for over 30 years now.

In a new seven-part series on Animal Planet entitled Whale Wars, Captain Watson and his crew draw attention to the real danger and drama that can occur when battling illegal whaling in oceanic territories. This series kicked off last Friday, November 7th at 9pm EST on Animal Planet, and aims to deliver a real insight into the everyday lives of those fighting for the lives of endangered marine life.

Green Daily was able to catch up with Paul for an exclusive interview regarding Whale Wars, and a bit more background into his organization. In the interview, Paul explains more about the show, the bad blood between his organization and Greenpeace, and how Sea Shepherd has managed to maintain a spotless no-injury/no-conviction record for the 31 years they've been participating in their high-risk activism.
