PETA protests Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen book signing

Frequent PETA targets Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were under fire from the wild-eyed vegans once again. This time the protest battleground was the New York City Barnes & Noble, where the twins signed copies of their new book "Influence" while masked activists howled outside. How Halloweeny!
I find it moderately amazing that the Olsens -- or as PETA refers to them, the Trollsens -- are seen as fashion icons, but their bank accounts are far fatter than mine, so they must be doing something right.
Still, every time I see one of the Olsen girls, I immediately wonder, "Did she just come from a burning building where the alarm woke her from a heavily narcotized sleep, so she grabbed the first five items off the Goodwill pile and ran?"
Really. I imagine that whole scenario Every Time.
I also don't understand why they even bother with the fur, since everything I've seen them wear -- stoles, wraps, vests -- are so tatty and ratty. If you're spending that kind of money on luxury furs -- not to mention killing those sweet, sharp fanged minks and chinchillas -- at least get something pretty.
