Drill, Baby, Drill... for water?
There are always those products that come out at just the wrong time. Greenland is about to have one of those moments. The country is planning to drill for water in icebergs and sell that glacial aged water at a premium price to the rest of us. And, they plan to tell us it's sustainable.
First of all, has no one mentioned to Greenland that bottled water just isn't cool anymore? Do they not realize we're on to the whole idea of green washing and some of us might notice that shipping water across oceans might not be sustainable?
Apparently not. Watch this video from ViroPop for more details.
It's kind of like when I bought 50 slap bracelets from a flea market to sell to my friends. Unfortunately, almost everyone already had one and I didn't even know 50 people to sell them to. They were also cheap, made in China, rusted when they got wet and cut your arm if you slapped them down wrong. All in all, very uncool. Just like drilling icebergs for water and shipping it all over the world for people to drink.
