Van Jones, "The Green Collar Economy"
Van Jones is the founding president of Green For All and a senior fellow with the Center for American Progress. His book, "The Green Collar Economy," has released this week. "The Green Collar Economy" puts forth a plan for solving the two biggest problems facing our country today, our faltering economy and our environmental crisis. While it may appear that the two problems are separate, Jones makes the argument that the problems and the solutions are interconnected.
I haven't read the book yet, but I am certainly going to, the first chance I get.

I agree, the problems and solutions are connected. It's amazing how simple these solutions can be. As a Green mom of 2, I have turned to Sloan Barnett's book, Green Goes With Everything which exposes the toxic truth behind the household products we use every day. My children and I took her Body Burden Test and was amazed at some of the choices I still make than can easily be changed. The test was a great way to teach kids about going green, it was very interactive and fun.

The Green Collar Economy is a NYTimes bestseller!
Thanks for being a part of the amazing grassroots effort to make it the first bestseller by an African American on "green" issues. Read about the it here:
