October's Green Challenge: QUIZ ME
In correlation with this month's challenge to cut down my idling habits, I've created a quiz to show off some of the things I've learned. There are a lot of myths that are floating out there. You may be surprised to learn just how damaging idling your car is for your wallet, the environment and your vehicle.
How did you do? Has this month's challenge prompted you to change any of your habits?

One quick comment... how far your car can go on a gallon of gas obviously changes depending on your car and driving habits. Most cars (within a given displacement range and fuel type) will use about the same car to idle the engine -- that is, to prevent it from stalling.
The gas burned by a Honda Civic VX in 10 minutes could be made to make it drive a heck of a lot further than the gas that a Ford F150 burned in the same amount of time.
Either way you look at it though, idling is one of the worst things you can do to your car, wallet, and environment.

Thanks for pointing that out, Ryan. The stat must have been based on average consumption.
