SPUN Organic - Accessible, Affordable, Stylish

I love organic clothing, but one of the hard things is that now that you can find stylish pieces, they are crazy expensive! And too often, when it's not high-priced, it's cheap (i.e. H&M disposable) rather than affordable. So it was exciting to find out about SPUN when Kristen posted about the line over at StyleList.
SPUN is a hot new organic cotton clothing line dreamed up by Sara Seumae, a Seattle based mom of two, who had no previous design experience. Not that you can tell -- the line is totally trendy and well made.
The first six SPUN pieces that make up the Spring and Summer 2008 collection are the kind of tops every wardrobe needs. T-shirts, tanks, a cardigan, all in pretty and useful colors, like black, tibetan blue and sangria, a spicy red.
The Fall and Winter 2008 collection builds on those foundation pieces, adding variety with cowl and boat neck tops and dresses, as well as the perfect black wrap dress.
All of the SPUN pieces are produced in the US, using Certified Organic Cotton and environmentally safe processes.
Just as important and impressive, the pieces have a boutique quality fit and style, but not the boutique price tag. All of the items, even the dresses, are under $100. Their best selling short-sleeve T-shirt is just $25!
In the gallery, check out the Spring and Summer 2008. And when you can't resist any longer, you can find an online retailer on the SPUN site.

The entire world may be crumbling, but at least we have posts like this to keep things (looking) up!
