Prudish construction workers decry Earth Friend Gen's naked skating
In Portland, Oregon, they're used to nudity. They're used to protesters. They're used to protesters parading around naked. This isn't their first PETA rally.
But there is something about Earth Friend Gen, Gennifer Moss, skating around naked that has the construction workers and commuters a little shook up.
Earth Friend Gen is a budding goddess (really, it's in this video which is pretty much SFW, lots more nudity on some of the others posted to her MySpace TV and video site) who wants us all to revel in our nudity. Also, she loves the earth.
Earlier this summer Gen petitioned Portland for permission to skate naked in the 4th of July Parade. Apparently there is a stack of "Nudity Permission Forms" at the welcome kiosk in City Hall. She was turned down for that, but Portland being Portland, on non-holidays she just skates around in the buff, raising...awareness.
After the construction workers complained about her nudity, the police asked Gen to "tone it down." Gen put on some bikini bottoms and continued on her merry way, which seems to have satisfied the police. No word on the construction workers' "satisfaction."

Thank God she's not doing something useful with her time. I fail to see how being naked has much to do with anything, if it is because manufacturing clothes causes pollution then she should pick her battles better; people will have a hard time accepting her insanity as mainstream.

Wow, she is certifiably insane. Seriously, watching her videos scared the crap out of me. I hope to never meet anyone quite so mentally unstable as long as I live.
This is coming from a guy that walks around naked in his house anytime he gets the chance.

Well...I don't know about insane but definately a little nutty. I love nutty people. They make the world a little more colorful. The skating naked in public thing is a little much though. I understand her wanting to feel free but how about my freedom of choice when it comes to not wanting my kids to see a naked woman skating in public during the day? That's something she should consider. I mean..if you want to be naked...cool...but do it in your own personal space and recognize and honor my right to not have to see you naked. And NO, simply looking away is not an option when someone chooses to do this type of thing in public.
But even with that said, I think she seems kind of cool.
Just a little over the top with the nudity thing.
But just one thing I have to point out. If this was a hot blonde skating naked in public, I have a feeling that the construction workers would have had a totally different reaction to it.

No, if someone does this type of thing in private, THEN you have no options - the choice has been made for you.
Only when someone does this type of thing in public do you have the option of looking or not looking. Thats what the word "option" means. It means you have been given a choice.
Its not her fault if *you* have no self control.
