Oceana recognizes Bill Clinton, Trudie Styler and Sting at 2008 Partners Award Gala

Oceana is an organization that works to conserve the oceans of the world. They are a very intellectual organization, with scientists, lawyers and economists who propose specific policy changes to protect and conserve marine life and environments.
Each year they hold a big ceremony with tons of eco-celebrities to honor individuals who have "made outstanding contributions through their personal commitments to the cause of protecting and conserving out environment." This year the big honorees are Bill Clinton, Trudie Styler and Sting.
Trudie and Sting are being honored for founding the Rainforest Foundation in 1989, and raising more than $25 million dollars and increasing our awareness of our planet's endangered resources.
The awards ceremony will be held on October 18th, and as usual it's sure to be an eco-star studded shindig. Past presenters included Angelica Huston, Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman. And the winners are usually pretty good, too! In the gallery, some past recipients, including my pal Al Gore.
