Recycle Bank pays you to recycle
You are obviously already in tune with recycling if you read this website and you probably do it regularly. However, getting stuff for free for simply doing your civic duty would certainly sweeten the deal. Before long, your entire street would be recycling, even the grumpy holdouts a few houses down. RecycleBank is offering just that; rewards for doing what you do anyway.Every recycling day, your bin is weighed as it is emptied and that weight is converted into points that can go towards coupons for goods. Businesses that have paired with the RecycleBank include Coca-Cola, PetSmart, Stoneyfield, and Kraft.
If you try to scam the system by putting all your trash in the bin, points are deducted from your account so don't even think about it. The other obvious problem with this situation is rather than encouraging people to REDUCE, RecycleBank says, "go ahead, get the extra packaging and buy some free Mac 'N' Cheese. You've deserved it.
RecycleBank is available in limited locations but you are invited to contact your local officals to impliment the program in your community.
