Forever 21 to replace organic farm

Forever 21 isn't known for their ethical policies. If you can resist their cheap prices and designer knock off clothes we'd recommend you avoid shopping there. And now, they've just give us yet another reason to boycott the store's services.

The huge apparel chain wants to build a warehouse and distribution center on the land where the famous L.A. community garden South Central Farm used to be. The construction of the warehouse will bring pollution from 2,400 truck arrivals daily, to a place that used to grow lovely fresh fruit and organic vegetables.

In spite having the star power of Daryl Hannah and Danny Glover backing protests to bulldoze South Central Farm, it wasn't enough. Forever 21 has shady close ties with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. So he has stayed out of efforts to stop the company from building there.

Forever 21 defends themselves saying that if they don't build on that land they may have to leave the city altogether. The company's vice president, Christopher Lee says, "That's going to be really detrimental to Los Angeles because we pump in hundreds of millions of dollars here."
