Bill Clinton's Top 10 energy saving recommendations

Bill Clinton is no Al Gore -- yet, but he's on his way to becoming a superstar anti-global warming politician. Just recently he handed the government a laundry list of recommendations they could take to help the U.S. conserve energy as a nation.

Aside from the usual suggestions a la tax credits for clean energy and speeding up the process to switch over to all hybrid and electric cars, Bill also makes mention of a few slightly more radical changes that can be done.

According to Earth2Tech, Bill "raised the idea of a single state, like Nevada, or an area like Puerto Rico becoming energy independent."

His exact words were that a project like could "rock the world."

While it might be strange to hear an older, distinguished gentleman with white hair and glasses using the phrase, "rock the world," I totally agree. It would rock the world if the U.S. could become a model for the rest of the planet by using the best technology available and unique strategies to combat global warming.
