Rappers aren't typically associated with the green movement -- much less with energy efficient cars -- but that didn't stop former Def Jam rapper Redman from piloting a Smart Fortwo in his latest video Run My Block. Instead of pimping out a giant gas-hogging Escalade or Navigator, Redman makes an eco-friendly statement by patrolling his block in a convertible 45mpg micro-car.
Honestly, we're not sure whether Redman meant to make an environmental statement -- or if he just thought it would look comical to deliver his rhymes while sticking out of a tiny small, potentially emasculating convertible (which it totally does). Either way, we wonder how Redman came up with the idea. Could it be that he's feeling the crunch of $4 a gallon gas?
