Greenpeace releases sex video
In an effort to convince the European Commission to pass protective measures against illegal logging, Greenpeace has released a video of some very loving trees. Actually, the trees weren't doing much at all other than being trees. The director manipulated leaves and branches, filmed from suggestive angles and added on a sexy sound track complete with moaning. The trees "climax" and somehow after all that we are supposed to think remember the not-so-sexy EU.
Honestly, the video made me a little uncomfortable. I mean, are trees able to sign consent forms? Do they qualify for free testing for venereal diseases? I do find myself a little on the prudish side but I kinda just wanted to tell the film crew to give those poor trees some privacy.

OK. that was very cute and I'm sure the producer thinks he's brilliant, but what does it accomplish? Putting videos of whales having sex on the web is not exactly saving them. Anthropomorphism of trees is irreverant, especially to the European Commission.
What GreenPeace has to do is really get to know the people, or at least one person, on this commission at a personal level, like learn their personality dimensions, their mind patterns; learn to see from their perspective of conservation. Then produce a video geared towards the mind patterns of these key people on the European Commission. You can't just be cutesy. You have to be savvy.
What's next? Live sex in church? Gimme a break.

Remember to quote the vital statistics of illegal logging as it directly affects the people on the EU commission.
