Of camels and men
Forget for a moment that you are seeing a poor camel being forced to carry something as heavy as a car, albeit stripped of doors and engine, over a treacherous mountain pass between the countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Yeah, it sucks to be the camel, we agree, but step back from that and look at the big picture.
Is this a sign of things to come as fuel prices continue to soar beyond the average citizen's pocketbook? Will cars become nothing more than an accessory on the ungulate of your choice? Wearing a Mercedes hood ornament is so passé, all the cool camels will be wearing a Mercedes. An actual Mercedes (albeit stripped of doors and engine).
If it does come to this then those of us in the Americas are screwed. We don't have camels and most horses can't lift anything heavier than a Volkswagen.
It sucks to be the camel.
