As we've discussed before, "going green" with your skivvies is no longer a euphemism for "going commando," or "wearing a burlap sack." These days eco-friendly lingerie is surprisingly sexy, and Brooklyn-based Clare Bare is no exception.
These simple yet flattering designs get their vintage look from recycled fabric -- and, whenever new material is required, Clare Bare opts for organic cotton, so these sexy undies are salaciously sustainable. Plus, her design philosophy is truly refreshing:
Clare Bare makes garments that accentuate the body, rather than cover it up, push it up, or transform it in an unnatural way. She doesn't believe in clothing that is created to solve a problem, because the flaw doesn't exist until you design something for it.
Nice to know that at least one designer out there is making normal people look good (and green!).
