What should this guy do with his $60,000 Range Rover?
Ryan Mickle is looking to get rid of his $60,000, 2006 Range Rover SUV and he needs your help. No, he doesn't want to sell it to you (good luck with that), he wants to take it off the road. Forever.
Mickle reasons that if he just sold the Range Rover to someone else, it would just keep on polluting, with someone else driving. I would argue that one person driving your old SUV and you driving a more fuel-efficient car (or not driving at all) is better than two people driving SUVs, since the other person probably would have went and bought one anyway. But I digress.
Check out Ryan's website at onefewer.com where Ryan asks, "What is the most earth-friendly way to part company with this mechanical mistake?" You can email Ryan with your suggestions at ryan at onefewer dot com and sign up for updates. Some suggestions that Ryan has already received include dismantling it and selling the pieces to artists, turning it into a garden or giving it to a car-sharing coop that will pack 6 work commuters in it every day.
