Study shows the most toxic cars and car seats
The Ecology Center, a non-profit environmental organization which focuses on providing a safe and healthy environment where people live, work and play, has just released its second annual consumer guide to toxic chemicals in cars and children's car seats. In this report, over 200 of the most popular 2008- and 2009-model vehicles and over 60 car seats were tested for toxic chemicals. You may be surprised at the results.I encourage you to read the entire article for yourself, but take note that the most toxic cars were the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Suzuki Reno and the BMW 128i. As for the most toxic cars seats, they were the Alpha Sport Vantage Booster and the Britax Marathon Onyx.
The report goes on to explain why these cars and car seats are so toxic, and just why you may not want to take a big whiff of that new car smell if you value your health.
