Lauren Conrad lets the dogs down

In New York City this week, The Hills "reality" star Lauren Conrad was scheduled to be the star attraction at the Paws for Style event, which benefited the Humane Society. But her big head and bad attitude got in the way and let everyone down.
Lauren showed up for the photo-op (naturally) but left before the big finale, in which she was supposed to walk down the doggy fashion runway with a dog named Toby. The crowd, who were expecting her to be there, paid between $100 and $5,000 for a ticket, and they were disappointed.
Other celebs were good sports and participated, including including Law and Order's Richard Belzer, Real Housewives of New York's Ramona Singer, and Hairspray's Nikki Blonksy. Apparently Lauren thought she was too good to walk with them.
Lauren graced the cover of Animal Fair magazine this month, and they sponsored the event, but I bet she doesn't many fans there now. The Humane Society flew LC and her assistant out -- first class, thank you very much -- and put them up at a hotel.
Lauren claims that walking was never part of the agreement, so she's not at fault. But shoot, she was there, they asked her to do it, why couldn't she just say "Yes" and be a cool animal supporter?
I think Lauren needs to offer to reimburse them for being a bitch instead of taking care of one.
