Elizabeth Hurley, PETA's latest target

I guess someone has to advocate for all of those animals on Elizabeth Hurley's wedding registry.
PETA is openly encouraging the organic farmer and budding food magnate to stop slaughtering the piglets she is hand-rearing, and produce "healthy and delicious" vegetarian meals. Demonstrating their customary tact and diplomacy, PETA compared eating pigs who grew up on her farm to "sending her dog, Emily, to slaughter." They also used the word "betrayal." Jeez, who's the drama queen here, Liz or PETA?
Liz's pig-husbandry expertise notwithstanding, she's been under eco-fire in the past. The ginormous carbon footprint of her "eco-disater" wedding to Arun Nayar, with people jetting from Gloucestershire to India in private planes, generated reams of bad press and landed her on the Eight Least Green Celebrities list.
I'm sure she thought the whole organic farm thing would win back some points, but now it looks like she's in the hot seat again. Maybe some people just aren't meant to be green.
