Lettuce-wearing PETA lovelies hand out meat free KFC treats

We have peace in Canada! PETA's long-term campaign against KFC is showing some traction. PETA and KFC Canada (but not KFC USA, they're still "evil") have come to terms over the ethical way to manage chicken slaughter.

And to celebrate, vegan sex merchants PETA provided hot, sexy babes, wearing bikinis made of lettuce, to hand out the new KFC Classic Vegetarian Sandwich.

Made of some kind of faux-chicken, the vegetarian offering is one of the list of demands that PETA placed on KFC Canada. Other changes include making sure that 100% of their chicken suppliers use controlled-atmosphere killing (yes, chicken gas chambers,) plus trying to influence those suppliers to have better conditions for the animals and phase out growth-promoting drugs. They also have to form an animal advisory panel.

Around the globe, naked PETA protesters are still climbing into chicken cages to protest KFC practices. It will be interesting to see if Canada's capitulation leads to additional KFC/PETA agreements, or if they'll continue to play...chicken.
