Amanda Peet likes vaccines, not sunscreen
Amanda Peet, Hollywood actress and mom of Frances Pen, 16 months old, recently gave an interview to Cookie magazine, one topic of which was childhood vaccinations. According to Cookie, Peet is very passionate about the debate around autism and childhood vaccines. After talking with her sister's husband, who is a pediatrician, as well as an infectious disease expert, Peet says she is convinced that there is not only no link between autism and vaccines, but that with so much attention being given to that debate, "it's taking away money and research that needs to go to the real causes of autism."
Peet went further, calling parents who opt not to vaccinate "parasites," as they put other children at risk. Peet will be filming a series of public service announcements for the group Every Child by Two.
In case you were wondering, Peet does buy 99 percent organic food for Frankie, yet does not put sunscreen on her (perhaps she read about the link between sunscreen, sun and vitamin D?)

I guess since Amanda has become a parent and is a hollywood star that gives her the right to promote something she knows nothing about. I would like for her to have the feeling for one day that something was wrong w/ her child. Absolutely no one knows that feeling until it happens to you. Until that day comes Amanda Peets comments of knowledge means nothing to me. And from one mom to the next I would hope it never happens to you. So please don't try to tell other parents what they should and shouldn't be doing unless you have walked in their shoes!!!!!
