Beijing has branded this summer's games as the "Green Olympics," but the greenest thing that we've seen so far is the algae-infested Yellow Sea. While it's true that China has made some noteworthy efforts to keep the games eco-friendly, much of the propaganda emphasizes Beijing's new green Olympic buildings. The green efforts of these buildings may not outweigh the environmental damage they've done but you've got to admit they are very impressive and I think they will still be very effective in inspiring architects around the world to adopt more eco-friendly concepts in the future.
