Leo Watch, Friday: Greensburg gets renewed for 6 more episodes

I defy any of you to watch the first episode of Greensburg and a) not cry and b) not get sucked in for more. I'm not the only one sold on the show. It's been picked up by Planet Green for six more episodes, to go with the 13 made for season one.

The Planet Green show, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, follows the inhabitants of the city of Greensburg, Kansas, which was utterly destroyed by an enormous, EF5 tornado, as they struggle to recover from the disaster.

Instead of throwing as many plywood houses as possible, just to get the place livable again, they decided to rebuild using the greenest and most sustainable building practices possible. They're even planning to build all public buildings greater than 4,000 feet to Platinum LEED certification. That's the most green you can get!

Granted, there is a lot of God action, but the people are good, and you root for them. And the show demonstrates just how mainstream some of these "crazy environmentalist" ideas have become.

Plus, it's one more reason to post a photo of Leo. Happy Friday!
