How green are your iPod speakers?

My husband called me today to tell me about some funky iPod speakers that he had seen at work. Charged with Googling until I found them online, I came across an array of speakers that made listening to music a little greener. If you are in the market for a new set, you might want to check these out.

  1. Fashionation's Eco-Speakers are made from 100% recycled materials. The best feature, I think, is that they fold flat for travel.
  2. A few months ago, Brad told us how to turn an iPod's packaging into a speaker which is a great way to reduce waste and recycle. A conversion kit can be bought from AudioCubes.
  3. Bird Electron has created a line of speakers handcrafted out of gourds as well as recycled film canisters. The gourds are especially lovely as they can give a natural look to your electronics.
