London black cabs get challenged by a fleet of Green Tomatoes
This weekend CNN interviewed Tom Pakenham and Hamish Phillips, the eco-friendly executives behind London's very successful Green Tomato Cars. In competition with London's famous black cabs, which are making their own efforts to go greener, the company's line of white Priuses decorated with eponymous green tomatoes are becoming a common sight on the street in London.
Tom and Hamish, and the company, are dedicated to the increasingly mainstream idea that ecologically sound is more than a marketing idea. They believe that green companies can, and should, be profitable by making the eco-friendly solution the best solution.
So far they've been very successful, serving all of London, and can take you almost anywhere in the UK. They recently expanded the service in Sydney, so your environmentally friendly car service choices are expanding around the world.
Oh, and also? According to CNN, 30 year old Hamish Phillips is quite the eligible eco-bachelor. Ladies, start your engines!
