Plugless sink aims to show you how much water you use

It's so easy to just let the water run as you brush your teeth or shave - the water slips right down the drain, and you don't have to think twice. But...what if there were no drain?
Designer Maja Ganszyniec's concept for a "plugless sink" is an interesting one. All of the water you use while standing at the sink is collected (it looks to hold about a gallon or so), so you can see exactly how much water you've gone through. When you're finished, you simply tip the sink forward, and the water runs down the pipes.
Innovative? Yes. Would get old quickly? Definitely. Having grey water chillin' in your sink as you go about your hygienic routine may not be that bad, but having to dump out the water each time you use the sink (especially if you're an excessive hand-washer) would get to be a chore. It would also be difficult (and potentially dangerous) for children or the elderly to heft a huge stone bowl.
Maja's idea might need a little more refining, but forcing us to all pay more attention to our daily water usage is definitely important. We could all use a daily reminder to go easy on our natural resources.
