Clear your clutter, live green
What does clutter have to do with living green? Well, if you're living in clutter, you may not have the energy to take on some green changes in your life. You also may not know what you even have, and, gasp, may even be re-buying things because you can't remember where the old things are (not that I've ever done that).According to Rodika Tchi, a Feng Shui consultant, the reason most people don't clear their clutter is not because it takes effort and is time consuming. It's because clearing clutter is actually a very emotional process, requiring emotional stamina.
So where to start? According to Tchi, the most important places to clear clutter and keep very clean and fresh are the bedroom, the kitchen and the main entrance. See here for more specific tips for those rooms from Tchi. Hey, it doesn't sound so overwhelming if the focus is just on these three rooms for now. So until you get those rooms in order, you can ignore the basement and garage for a bit longer.
